Paul Gladden, a long time player in the NAFFL league saw the team interest dwindling and he was not ready for it to end. So, Paul came up with the NPFFL (Nashville Pro Flag Football League). If your out of shape, have not played in years, just starting out, an all star or simply do not want to dive into some local league without seeing how you would fair. Well this is the league for you. Teams basically organize themselves with players. There are no requirements, no real fees, rosters, waivers, deadlines or forfeits to worry about. If you do not have enough at game time, then you are welcome to pick up any player from sideline to get to a sixth man. This rule alone eliminates the forfeit issue, this rule is proof that the players just want to play the best game in america FOOTBALL!!. The Summer or Spring League has already began, but it is never too late. You can come out and get paired up on a team and probably play that day if you want. You just have to show up and ask anyone at fields how to get on a team, it is that simple. So do not continue to be a couch ALL AMERICAN, come on out and play. Mostly everyone just wants to play, and better yet it cost you only time. Generally the league goes on each Spring and Fall. Quote: Bobby Bache-Paul is doing a great thing here, the league games have their challenges, but mostly everyone does their best in policing the sportsmanship that each team and player must exhibit in order for this to continue to be a fun and enjoyable Sunday. Players not playing volunteer to referee games, and do a good job. I have run these type leagues for about 12 years and know the challenges and encounters that arise from sports and competition. The only difference with my leagues and this one is $$. My leagues cost and generally not cheap, just due to the expense to run a league and run it the right way. With this league there are challenges that I did not have to worry about due to the money that was involved, but because this league is FREE, Paul will face new challenges just because it is free. Although these challenges can be cumbersome, it is really going to be up to the individual players in the league on how successful and how enjoyable this league will be. Each and every player, coach and spectator needs to approach this league with great respect and carry themselves as MEN. At the end of the day, this is only a game. I would like to personally thank Paul for what he is trying to do and hope that all players understand that he is only thinking of the game and not $$$. He keeps stats on each game, he provides trophy's at the end of season, he awards MVP's for each team per game and referees most of the games. WE ALL NEED TO TAKE PART IN THE OWNERSHIP AND THE DIRECTION OF THE LEAGUE. RESPECT!!!! I have set up this league with its own page on this site. Who knows the better the league goes, the more I will do to help Paul promote it and help grow it. Click here for the NPFFL League page. Everything you need to know and see about the league will be on this one page. I will put a small link or logo on the home page to get you to the page easily. For now you can click here to go there.
